Overview

Countrol ("we", "our", or "the app") is a wellness tracking application available on iOS and Android that helps you monitor and reduce your consumption of alcohol, smoking, and drugs. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our application on any platform.

Data Collection

Countrol is designed with privacy at its core. The following data is stored locally on your device:

• Consumption data: Your tracking entries for alcohol, smoking, and drugs are stored locally on your device. On iOS, this uses Apple's SwiftData framework. On Android, this uses a local Room database.
• Preferences: Your app settings, including language preference, selected substances, custom colors, notification preferences, and currency settings, are stored locally on your device.
• Onboarding data: Your initial setup choices (tracked substances, spending preferences) are stored locally.

Data Storage

All your personal data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any external servers that store your personal data.

On iOS, if you enable iCloud sync, your data is securely synced through Apple's iCloud infrastructure, governed by Apple's own privacy policies.

Third-Party Services

Countrol uses the following platform-specific services for in-app purchases:

• Apple StoreKit (iOS): In-app subscriptions and purchases are managed through Apple's StoreKit framework. All transaction data is handled by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing (Android): In-app subscriptions and purchases are managed through Google Play Billing. All transaction data is handled by Google and governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple iCloud (iOS only): If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs on either platform.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we use each platform's local notification system to send you daily reminders. These notifications are processed entirely on your device and are not sent through any external server.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by:

• Deleting individual entries from the History tab within the app
• Resetting all data from the Settings tab
• Uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data
• iOS only: Disabling iCloud sync and deleting iCloud data from your device's Settings

Children's Privacy

Countrol is not intended for use by children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
